cartlidge and Brown vineyard image

Introduction

Cartlidge & Browne Winery has over 1000 acres of prime vineyard property under contract from Santa Barbara to Mendocino; the Sonoma Coast to the Sierra Foothills. While all of these regions make their unique contributions to our California Appellation wines, there are a few special sites whose wines have qualities that just beg to be bottled on their own. These we offer as single vineyard wines.

Cartlidge & Brown: Vineyards

Dancing Crow Vineyard - Certified Organic

Dancing Crow Vineyard’s 28 acres of Sauvignon Blanc have been farmed organically since 2004. Located just north of Kelseyville, this vineyard's rich clay soil and lake moderated climate express themselves in a wine with aromas and flavors of melon, guava and stone fruits. Snows Lake Vineyard - Lake County

This beautiful vineyard, in one of California’s newest and most exciting AVAs, has an abundance of the iron-rich red soils suggested by the appellation name. Our first release was made from fruit grown on three small, steep hillside blocks, two planted to clone 15, the other to clone 337. They have consistently yielded intense, large-scale wines, and the 2005 was no exception. Totem Ridge Vineyard – Knights Valley

A 22-year-old, dry-farmed hillside vineyard, it dependably produces superior wines of great concentration and depth of flavor. Please click here for tasting notes on our current limited vintage from Knights Valley.
